All about the trip
Warmly welcome to join our Zanzibar traditional cooking class, with originality from our ancestors, all the cooking tools are copied from our old times when our grandparents enjoyed good days with food around the coast of Zanzibar. Cooking class with vegetable and spices harvesting on the farm will give you an insight into the uses of spices in the food and also as medicines! The lessons are extremely informative and full of learning and practice time.

Take a tour with your chef through Darajani for the market tour and learn about our culture of buying. After shopping, we will take a private transfer to Dole Village in the central part of Zanzibar for the spice tour. A guided walking tour passes through villages and spice plantations to harvest some of the ingredients with the Chef, and back to the class where we will cook together with three courses, and dessert. A walk through the farms as spice farms workers climb trees, seek out specific plants, and cuts off various barks, letting you see, feel and taste everything. You will be decorated with palm-leaf accessories such as ties, rings, bracelets, and glasses. At the spice farms, you will have an opportunity to taste some of the exotic fruits of Zanzibar.
At the end of the hands-on cooking session, we sit down around and enjoy the 4-course meal together. Our program runs throughout the year and can be joined by people of all ages. Our cooking classes are divided into two parts, cooking class and harvesting of organic vegetables and cooking class with spice tour. Duration: 3 - 4 hours.

COVID-19 CLEAN AND SAFE
All vehicles are disinfected regularly after each ride. We have established set protocols that we follow to make sure all of these high touch areas are disinfected in every vehicle. An emergency plan has been designed which can be followed in case of an outbreak. In the event that a suspected or confirmed case of Covid-19, we have action plans ready to implement. Medical support is available if required. Not all destinations have the same resources, so we anticipate the needs of our customers should they become ill.
General staff training is in place regarding new protocols to prevent the spread of Covid19.
This training is in various stages:
Initial: containing basic information about the illness, personal hygiene, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and departmental procedures.
Follow-up: reinforces the basic points and any improvements made. Plus, follows up employees’ concerns and needs.
