All about the trip
On this half day city tour, you will visit the spectacular sights in Yangon. The first stop on our journey is the Chauk Htat Gyi Buddha Temple, one of the most revered reclining Buddha images in Myanmar. The sheer size of the Chaukhautree’s Reclining Buddha is breathtaking.
No visit to the Union of Myanmar is complete without a visit to the 2500 years old Shwedagon Pagoda. It is not only known as Myanmar's most precious sight but also the most sacred pagoda in the whole country. Shwedagon Pagoda is covered with hundreds of gold plates and the top is encrusted with 4531 diamonds.
In the Yangon's bustling downtown area, Bogyoke Market offers a wide range of food, clothes, handicraft and gem stores. You can take a look at goods here and buy original souvenirs.
The last stop is the ancient Sule Pagoda. It is located in the heart of Yangon and was built over 2500 years ago. It contains a hair relic of the Gautama Buddha. Local people believe that there lives a powerful nat spirit named Sularata on this site.
