Have you ever tried hiking in winter? What a beauty to walk through gorgeous countryside and experience the silence of nature taking rest under the cover of snow.

Join our winter hike to Bohemian Switzerland National Park and visit the European Destination of Excellence as certified by the European Commission. See the largest natural sandstone arch in Europe: Pravčická brána. And cross the famous Bastei Bridge in the German part of the national park.

We begin our hike on a route into deep woods and walk among mysterious sandstone pillars until we reach Pravčická brána. The most popular natural attraction of the park was chosen by filmmakers to play its part in the Chronicles of Narnia.

In mid-day we stop in a local restaurant and have traditional Czech lunch to replenish our energy for further explorations.

In the afternoon we continue to the German part of the park called Saxon Switzerland. There we see the stunning Bastei Bridge built into the rock formations towering high above the river Elbe. It is the best viewpoint in the area and we can admire the landscape with Elbe Sandstone Mountains all around us.

We walk across the famous bridge and visit the ruins of 12th century Neurathen fortress.
