A full day of discoveries, snorkeling, and relax! With powder-white, soft sand beaches and a nearby local fishing village, Uroa on Zanzibar’s beautiful east coast is just the place to be if you’re looking for some sun, sand, and relaxation. You will obviously enjoy this Paradise Island, sandbank and the total privacy, delicious fresh seafood with local sauces, soft drinks, beers, wines will be served accordingly but it is not enough yet Zanzibar exotic fresh fruits, red banana, baobab seeds and more.

Uroa blue water adventure is a full day boat/ ocean excursion in a dhow, the traditional sailing boat used in Zanzibar. Our well-experienced team will accompany you for the day to discover the pristine marine life in Zanzibar and its crystal clear turquoise water. Enjoy a day filled with aquatic activities and new discoveries. Before leaving the beach of Uroa a short briefing is given. Once boarded, the dhow sets off to explore the bay of Chwaka. Depending on the tide, you can enjoy the leisurely sailing to the mangrove swamp. Be ready with your camera or mobile phones to take pictures of Zanzibar’s interesting birdlife. Then take advantage of our crew’s expertise as they guide you to the best viewing spots for snorkeling close to the coral reef. This is an awesome opportunity to enjoy an impressive range of colorful fish and corals around the bay of Chwaka. This designated conservation region has number of beautiful untouchable areas to explore.

After this amazing adventure, we set off to a beautiful beach where we welcome you with a fresh green coconut (Madafu). Enjoy a traditional Zanzibar beach buffet with slipper lobster, grilled fish, chicken, beef, rice in coconut sauce, cassava, chapatti, beans, ugali, and salad. Your meal is followed by a selection of exotic fruits served at your table. During the day, cold drinks are available including mineral water, beer, wine, sodas, spiced tea, and coffee. This day is filled with opportunities to relax or to play volleyball or football after lunch. Weather permitting, on your return to Uroa, the crew raises the lateen sail to enjoy a leisurely trip back after this eventful day.

Bookings can only be accepted for persons under 15 years of age when accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them.

Hotel pick-ups commence approximately 7 - 75 minutes prior to this time and it depends on the location of the hotel, exact pick-up time will be advised on reconfirmation. Times are subject to change due to local traffic conditions.

COVID-19 CLEAN AND SAFE

All vehicles are disinfected regularly after each ride. We have established set protocols that we follow to make sure all of these high touch areas are disinfected in every vehicle. An emergency plan has been designed which can be followed in case of an outbreak. In the event that a suspected or confirmed case of Covid-19, we have action plans ready to implement. Medical support is available if required. Not all destinations have the same resources, so we anticipate the needs of our customers should they become ill.

General staff training is in place regarding new protocols to prevent the spread of Covid19.

This training is in various stages:

Initial: containing basic information about the illness, personal hygiene, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and departmental procedures.

Follow-up: reinforces the basic points and any improvements made. Plus, follows up employees’ concerns and needs.
