All about the trip

In the morning, our representative will pick you up from your Hotel in Cairo or Giza and take you to Cairo International Airport. There you will board a plane heading to Luxor. Flight time is approx. one hour. Once you have landed, our Egyptologist tour guide will meet you (holding a sign with your name) and you can then start your amazing day on the East bank of the Nile River in southern Egypt. The city surrounds two huge, surviving ancient monuments: graceful Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple, which were dedicated to the Theban Triad, Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. We will visit Luxor Temple where you can see a large court, a complex of halls and chambers, and the mosque of Abu al-Hajjaj. Our visit to Karnak Temple is up next. It is consider the largest religious building ever constructed, being dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu.

Then you will take a break for around 40 minutes to have lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit The royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings. The Valley was used for primary burials from approximately 1539 BC to 1075 BC. It contains at least 63 tombs (not all open). One of them is the famous tomb of Tutankhamun (entrance for additional cost). We will transfer you to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, located at Deir El Bahari where you can admire its incredible architecture. We then continue to The Colossi of Memnon which are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned over Egypt.

As our tour concludes, we will take you back to Luxor Airport where you will board a plane that takes you back to Cairo. Our representative will await you at the Cairo airport to transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
