All about the trip

Early in the morning, you will be transferred by our representative from your hotel in Cairo or Giza to Cairo International Airport where you will take a flight to Abu Simbel. Upon arrival at Abu Simbel Airport, our tour guide will meet you (holding a sign with your name). You will then start your amazing day at Abu Simbel Temple which consists of two massive rock temples built by King Ramses II. The four colossal statues of Ramses in front of the main temple are spectacular examples of ancient architecture. You will then fly to Aswan and meet your tour guide and start to explore Aswan by first visiting the Philae temple. It was dedicated to the goddess Isis. We will continue to the High Dam, an engineering miracle built in 1960 protecting Egypt from annual Nile floods. Then we will have a break for lunch at a local restaurant after which we will board felucca to enjoy a cruise of the River Nile around the Aghakhan and Elephantine Islands. After the tour, we will take you to Aswan Airport where a plane will take you back to Cairo. At the airport, you will be met by our representative who will take you back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
