All about the trip

In the early morning hours, the driver will pick you up at the hotel reception in Marsa Alam and we will go by a comfortable, luxurious car to ancient Aswan. During your journey, you can take a break to refresh yourself or use the toilets. Upon arriving in Aswan, we begin a tour of the Aswan Dam, whose purpose is to protect Egypt from the Nile during flooding season and maintain a water supply for electricity generation. The most important monument of Aswan is the Temple of Philae, which you have to see. This monument was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Afterwards, we will enjoy a lunch in the genuine Egyptian restaurant and head to the Aswan Granite Quarries, the last stop of our trip. You can find granite from these quarries in every Egyptian building. Tourists around the world are eager to see the greatest landmark of this place, which is the unfinished obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut. The gigantic monument was supposed to reach a height of 42 meters.
