All about the trip
Join us to view The Northern Lights in total silence as we glide across Faxaflói bay in a wind and electric-powered schooner.
Our adventure begins at Reykjavík port where we will board the schooner, 'Opal'. From here we will take a tour around the bay to watch the mesmerizing Northern Lights. We'll also see the night lights of Reykjavík, Yoko Ono’s Peace Tower as well as various islands and lighthouses that pepper Faxaflói bay.
During the cruise, the boat's crew will share with you many interesting tales of the past, folklore of nearby islands and the legendary lighthouses. There's plenty to do onboard aside from admiring the views, you could enjoy a beer in the on-deck hot tub, or sip a glass of wine by the fireplace below deck if you need to warm-up. If you want a more 'hands-on experience' you can even assist our crew with putting up the sails. So, if you are looking for an unforgettable experience in Reykjavík, then there is nothing quite like a silent boat tour to see The Northern Lights.
