All about the trip

Explore the amazing scenery of the Mekong Delta with its authentic village life. Take a boat ride on small canals and visit local workshops to learn about various crafts. Enjoy a short walk in a peaceful village and a delicious lunch in a riverside restaurant.

We begin the tour early in the morning and drive from Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre Province. We tour small canals by boat watching the fantastic tropical scenery.

There are many small workshops including brick kilns, a coconut processing workshop and a local family workshop that produces traditional sleeping mats. We stop in a few of them to observe the craftsmen at work.

We take a short walk in the countryside and experience authentic village life. Then we take a rickshaw to a nice restaurant where we have our lunch. Elephant-ear fish and river shrimp are the most popular local specialities.

In the afternoon we board the traditional wooden boat called sampan and take a cruise to enjoy more beautiful views and the unique atmosphere of life in the Mekong Delta.
