All about the trip

Discover the beautiful city of Istanbul spreading out on 2 continents and see the amazing sights testifying of its age-old history of the capital of empires.

The Blue Mosque or The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is the first stop on our tour. The Istanbul's iconic building was built in 1616. Its grand style and splendid decoration was meant to prove the strenght of Ottoman Empire. It is adorned with 20 000 hand-painted blue tiles.

The imperial treasury and mint were just some of the functions of Topkapi Palace. The huge complex consists of 4 courtyards and many buildings including harem and the Imperial Council building. Today it is a museum housing valuable historical collections of art, religious relics, clothing and weapons.

Now it is time to enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant before we continue our walk through old cobbled streets to the Rustem Pasha Mosque. It is decorated in beautiful Iznik tiles with a variety of floral and geometric designs.

We can shop any spice we can think of as well as tea, dry fruits or sweets at the Spice Market. And almost anything at all at the world's oldest shopping mall – the Grand Bazaar.
