Hurghada Museum had been designed in accordance with world-class museum standards to display the aesthetic and luxury side of the Egyptian civilization throughout the ages. The Museum aimed to attract and encourage tourists of the Red Sea to visit Museums during their stay in Hurghada besides enjoying the beach activities.

Hurghada Museum is the first national Museum on the Red Sea coast. It is the first to be inaugurated in partnership with the private sector in Egypt. The Museum is opened on Saturday, 29th February 2020 and it covers 100,000 square meters building features 4 exhibition halls with an entertainment area, shopping complex, and parking lots.
Hurghada Museum houses more than 1791 artifacts including all the monuments of the Red Sea governorate. The selected pieces include artifacts from Wadi Al-Hammamat, Mons Porphyrites, or the Roman city in Gouna, Mons Claudianus, the Roman city in Safaga, Wadi Gasus, South of Sinai.
Hurghada Museum will include artifacts belonging to various eras, including gold pieces, artifacts belonging to the family of Mohamed Ali, regarded as the founder of modern Egypt, and a Roman theater.
The museum is designed to show the ‘Beauty and Luxury’ of the ancient Egyptian civilization through its different dynasties. The museum displays artifacts that show the comfort of the house and furniture and cosmetics used by the ancient Egyptians such as hair accessories, wigs, creams, perfumes, and jewelry.
Artifacts show daily activities such as hunting and fishing, as well as musical instruments and scenes from dance and musical performances from the Pharaonic era to modern times. A model showing how a perfume was made and how ancient Egyptians decorated their tombs are exhibited.
The Museum will house an Egyptian tomb that covers 120 square meters including a sarcophagus, golden mummies, a child mummy, Canopic jars, and tens of Ushabti statues. The museum houses pieces were discovered on February 7th in Luxor and 24 wooden pieces from a shipwreck were found 5.3 KM to the south of Hurghada near Sadana islands. The boat was 50 meters long, 15 meters wide, and able to carry 900 tons.
At the end of your tour inside the Museum, you will have some free time on your own then we will drive you back to your hotel in Hurghada, Makadi, Soma Bay, Safaga, and Sahl Hasheesh.
