All about the trip

Start your tour with a visit to Castelmola, a picturesque village situated just above Taormina. Hop off here to enjoy the beautiful landscape and wonderful views over the magnificent Giardini-Naxos bay and Mount Etna rising in the distance.

Continue to Taormina through the 19th-century Porta Messina gateway before a guided walk along Corso Umberto, once part of the ancient Roman street of Via Valeria. Wander among its pretty magic streets and observe the town’s oldest churches and monuments, as well the most exclusive shops and restaurants. Taste some of the typical Sicilian sweets and pastry and then visit the Greek theatre that dates back to the 3rd century BC.

On the way back, explore the highlights of Messina and see the Cathedral with its famous astronomical clock, the Church of the Catalans and the Sanctuary of Montalto and Christ the King.
