All about the trip

On this tour we’ll go from Isafjordur to Dyrafjordur and then continue our journey onto the jaw-dropping rock face road made with a small bulldozer called “the teaspoon” driven by the legendary Elis Kjaran and his son Ragnar. Along this winding road, we’ll see abandoned farms and a spectacularly scenic mountain range often referred to as the Westfjord Alps. We will then drive the steep and narrow Hrafnseyrarheidi heath road from Arnarfjordur back to Dyrafjordur and onward to Isafjordur again.

What to take with you?

We recommend to take warm clothing, good hiking shoes and crampons in case of icy conditions. And your good camera of course.

Where do we meet and where will the trip end?

Meeting place:

We arrange pick-ups at the hotels in Isafjordur. Please let us know by email (info@ibctravel.is) where would you like to be picked up.

Final destination:

Your drop off address will be the same as your pick-up address.

Cancellation more than 10 days prior to the starting date. Clients are automatically refunded the full booking price.
Cancellation within 4 to 10 days prior to the starting date. Clients are entitled to a 50% refund of the booking Price.
