All about the trip

How about starting the day with snorkeling in Silfra, a freshwater fissure known to be one of the best diving spots in the world and then drive around beautiful Iceland? If you like this idea, then try this amazing combo tour.

You can choose whether you want to snorkel in a wetsuit or a drysuit.

In the wetsuit, you have the opportunity to dive under the surface to explore the wonders of Silfra up close. We recommend to go for a wetsuit because even if you will be a bit colder you won’t regret it.

Silfra’s clarity is unlike anything else and a must-see here in Iceland. No experience with diving or snorkeling is required on your side.

After the snorkeling, we will take you on the Golden circle tour, which is the most popular tourist route in Iceland. We will start at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Þingvellir, where Althing was established around 930 AD, but Thingvellir is where the two continents, Europe and America, meet. During the Golden circle tour, we will also visit the geothermally active valley Haukadalur where among others, the hot spring geysers Geysir and Strokkur are located. We’ll also check out waterfall Gullfoss. Join us on this unforgettable adventure!

Please make sure that you are comfortable in the water and are able to swim. You should be at least a bit physically fit. Also, you should not have a problem with wearing sometimes tight & constricting dry suit. Make sure that you have read, signed, and followed directions on the Silfra Snorkeling Medical Statement and also signed our liability release form at the start of the tour. You must be at minimum 145 cm (4’9) tall and maximum 200cm (6’7) tall. Your weight should be at minimum 45 kg (99 lbs) and maximum 120 kg (264 lbs). This activity is not suitable for pregnant women. You must be at least 14 years old to participate in this activity.

You can rent a GoPro camera from us.

What to take with you?

We will provide you with all the necessary gear required for snorkeling. You will, however, have to bring clothes suited to dress under a drysuit such as long, warm underwear or sweat suit, and warm socks or clothes suited to dress under a wetsuit such as a swimsuit. Also, please bring warm clothes to wear prior and after the snorkeling and a water resistant outer layer as it can be wet inside the cave. You will also need a towel, some lunch or a snack. We recommend to bring a camera.

	Winter departures: November 1 - February 28: Pick-up time is between 8:45 and 9:15

Cancellation more than 4 days prior to the starting date. Clients are automatically refunded the full booking price.
Cancellation within 48 to 96 hours prior to the starting date. Clients are entitled to a 50% refund of the booking price.
