All about the trip
With a morning or an afternoon excursion as your choice, the tour will begin with a war museum where you will be able to see war machines like the T-54 tank, the MiG-19 jet fighter aircraft, the Mi-8 helicopter and the field artillery 85-mm D-44 gun.
Next will be the Angkor Silk Farm, a beautiful site housing many silk workshops employing locals, which is located 16 km from Siem Reap. An outstanding exhibition center showing the entire silk processes and end product. After this, we'll travel to the largest handmade reservoir by (8 x 2.2km) in the Angkor Park, called the West Baray, located near Angkor Thom city. In ancient times, the Baray was supplied by freshwater that came from two main sources: The Siem Reap and Puok Rivers. The reservoir was most likely built by the great king, Suryavarman I, during whose reign the whole Angkor Empire was greatly expanded. After this, we'll wrap up the day and transfer you back to your hotel!
