The 5-km hike is a pleasant walk with basically no elevation that allows you to observe Madeira's nature and its original vegetation from up close.
Serra de Àgua is an isolated village nestled in a charming valley and encircled by tall mountains. Its name comes from a historical watermill used for sawmilling which was a primary source of income here thanks to the abundance of woods. You can see terraced fields surrounding the village.
