All about the trip

Your tour starts at Gialasi beach located in ancient Epidavros. This is a site surrounded by mountains, green woodlands and panoramic views of the Argosaronikos bay, the turquoise sea, and islands. Here, you meet your experienced guide who delivers a safety briefing and teaches you the basics of sea kayaking before you get in the water. With all the equipment set, it is time to have fun.

In the water, you paddle in and out through the crystal clear sea of the Argolic Gulf. The route follows the coastline, and you can see the beautiful scenery of this picturesque site. After 15 minutes on your kayak, you reach the incredible sunken city. In the shallow waters of Kalymnios beach, part of the ancient town had submerged. You can snorkel here to observe walls, foundations of buildings, and paved sections just a few meters underwater. As the sea is extremely clean, it is possible to have a clear vision of all of it.

Once you finish your exploration, you paddle towards the ancient theatre of Epidavros. You can take your time to have an up-close view of this fantastic building from 4th century BC praised for its symmetry and beauty. In the past, this was a site where up to 14,000 people gathered together to watch theatre and music presentation, and play dramatic games, including the worship of Asclepius, a hero and god of medicine in ancient Greek religion and mythology.

By now, your exploration is getting close to the end, but before it finishes, you still have a special lunch prepared with local organic ingredients. And just before you leave, you still have time for a snorkeling session in the turquoise waters of this adorable local beach.
