All about the trip

This is a wonderful experience for nature lovers and people interested in bird watching. A wonderful way to learn about the birds' daily life and activities. We will make several stops on the route to better understand the environment and wildlife of the area.

We will pick you up with our van at your hotel in Santander. From there we will drive towards the lighthouse of Cabo Mayor which is the perfect place to make an introduction to the protected Natural area of the Bay of Santander.

After this initial interpretation of the coastline, we will head towards Astillero, where we will learn about its Black and White marshes. In fact, we will walk a small path (approximately 1,5 km) to see the marshes close up, observe the birds and the marshy vegetation of the area.

Our next stop will be in Marina de Cudeyo where we visit the Osprey Centre. From here, you will have the option of doing a 3 km walk tour along the Marsh of El Conde or do this tour by car. The Marshes of El Conde are a protected area of the "Red Natura 2000" and of great importance due to their high ecological value. You will be surprised by the rich and abundant community of birds, in particular, the Osprey.

Our last stop will be in Pedreña to visit the seafood farm and learn about the shellfish activity. We will finish the excursion by enjoying tasty clams with white wine.
