All about the trip

This adventure starts with a drive of about 40 minutes through the island of São Miguel, first crossing from the south to the north coast, where it is possible to see vast green fields divided by walls of volcanic rocks. Already on the North coast, wonder breathtaking views over the high cliffs and a unique sight of the only tea plantation in Europe. Arriving at Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões, one of the most popular places in Nordeste region, with its splendid diverse green vegetation, clear and fresh waters that create beautiful waterfalls, and the tranquility of a magical place. Last but not the least, beautiful water mills that will take you back in time. The activity starts with the equipment distribution to participants, followed by a short walk of about 20 minutes, until the entry point in the stream, where the safety briefing takes place. Entering the stream, one can count with a diversity of vertical challenges (about 8 meters), alternating with small walking sections and a more playful area, with a water slide and several jumps, one with 5 meter high. After a light snack, the challenge extends the waterfalls with about 10 meters, in a most closed area of the stream. Double the length, double the fun!

Until 18 years must be accompanied by parents or guardians, or bring a written permission.

What to take with you?

We recommend bringing lycra shirt, neoprene gloves, proof bag (to keep the phone and/or the camera). The possibility of rental canyoning boots (extra cost: 5.00€).
