All about the trip

Join us on this tour to discover historical heritage, local food and drinks and beautiful nature.

We will depart from Kutaisi at 8:00 for Racha region which is about 90 km away from Kutaisi. Our first stop is the Nakerala Pass, then a Shaori Lake. On the way to our rafting destination, we also visit the monastery of Nikortsminda. The Cathedral is on the Tentative List for status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once we get to the starting point by the river, you will be provided with all the necessary instructions such as how to sit in the boat properly, how to grab the oar, what to do in case find yourself in the water, etc. Then, we will get to our rafts with our experienced instructors. The river is a great source of fun and adrenaline. During the day, we will serve a picnic in nature with a barbecue and you will have a chance to taste local wine “Khvanchkara”.
