All about the trip

Early in the morning, our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to start your amazing tour to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza. First, you will visit the pyramid of Cheops which is the only survivor of the Seven Great Wonders of the ancient world. The size of the largest pyramid of Cheops is 137 meters high and measures 230 meters along each side. It was built as a tomb, the shape possibly intended to help the spirit of the dead pharaoh to rise to heaven. We will then will visit the pyramid of Chephren, the best preserved of the three main Giza Pyramids. Beside the pyramid of Chephren, you will see the Great Sphinx, carved out of natural rocky outcrop. Yet its huge lion body is small in comparison to the vast hulks of the pyramids. We will then visit the pyramid of Mykerinus, the smallest of the three pyramids.

Our tour continues with a visit to Memphis, the most important city of ancient Egypt. The most important display is the huge Colossi of Ramses II. We will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and continue our trip by visiting the Pyramids of king Zossr in Saqqara. Built by Imhotep, it was the first real pyramid to be constructed in ancient Egypt and is the most ancient surviving monument and the oldest stone building in history. The pyramid consists of six layers of Mastaba tombs positioned above each other. Saqqara pyramid is the only one of its kind and predates those at Giza.

After finishing your tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel.
