All about the trip

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor and transfer you by a private air-conditioned vehicle to Edfu, where you can visit the majestic Temple of Edfu. The temple is dedicated to Horus and by many experts, it is considered to be the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to the Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god, Horus, revenged the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth.

A lunch box will be included.

Then continue your day tour to Kom Ombo to see the Temple of Kom Ombo standing on the higher ground overlooking the Nile. It differs from other temples because of its double entrance; each of them is dedicated to a certain god: "Haroeris", the Egyptian god of light, with his falcon head, and "Sobek", the ancient Egyptian god of the Nile, with his crocodile head. Also, Kom Ombo‘s importance lies in its huge sugar-cane fields as it is originally an agricultural town producing mostly irrigated sugar cane and corn.

Then you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
