All about the trip

In the early morning hours, the driver will pick you up at the hotel reception in Marsa Alam and set out on a fabulous trip to Luxor, one of the world's most fascinating places. It is estimated that this place holds up to a third of the world's most valuable monuments, making this city an extremely important and popular tourist destination. During the break on the road, you will have the opportunity to refresh yourself or use the toilet. Upon arrival, you will first visit Karnak, the largest temple complex in the world. Then we will embark on a speedboat and transfer to the West Bank of the Nile, where you can relax with a delicious lunch at the local Egyptian restaurant. With a guide, you will also go to the monumental Memnon Colossi. Next stop is the famous Valley of the Kings, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 60 tombs. The last and no less important monument to visit is the memorial temple of her Majesty Queen Hatshepsut.

After the tour, we will head back to Marsa Alam.

Vybrali jsme si výlet "Privátní prohlídka Luxoru vozidlem z Marsa Alam" na základě telefonátu s D. Rovenským a vůbec toho nellituji (i když nás delegát na hotelu docela drsně od výletu s někým jiným, než cestovkou, odrazoval). Perfektně zorganitovaný výlet, kdy se s námi přes whatsapp spojil přímo majitel místní agentury, Ashraf a domluvil s námi detaily cesty. Řidič přijel přesně dle domluveného času ve 4:00 do hotelu v Royal Braya Beach hezkým autem Kia Cerato, poté nás po cestě, ve městě Safaga, předal jinému řidiči, Ahmedovi, který s námi pak jezdil celý den. Po příjezdu do Karnaku nás už čekal privátní průvodce Said (má vystudovanou egyptologii v Káhiře a jeho angličtině bylo velmi dobře rozumět). S Ahmedem všechno domlouval tak, že na nás po ukončení prohlídek čekal na parkovišti s vychlazeným autem a hned jsme mohli jet bez čekání dál. U konce prohlídky v Karnaku zavolal Said do restaurace (na břehu Nilu), kde už nás po příjezdu čekali a hned jsme mohli jíst. Poté, co jsme dojedli, stačilo vyjít pár kroků ven z restaurace, kde už čekala malá loď na plavbu po Nilu. Ahmed mezitím přejel s autem na druhý břeh Nilu, kde nás čekal po vysednutí z lodi. Poté jsme jeli na prohlídků Údolí králů, výrobu papirusu jsme na naše přání vynechali, zajeli jsme do výrobny a obchodu s Alabastrem "New Monaliza for Alabaster" a poté do Chrámu královny Hatšepsut, nakonec jsme se zastavili u Memnonových kolosů. Po několika km Said vysedl a Ahmed nás kolem 21:45 dovezl do hotelu. Takže fakt luxusní výlet, bez jakéhokoliv čekání (v srpnu navíc nebylo na památkách ani moc lidí). Za nás tedy spokojenost. Akorát bacha na to, že se většinou udává doba cesty kolem 4.5h, ale tato doba se udává z města Safaga, které je hlavní výjezdní místo do Luxoru jak z Marsa Alam, tak z Hurgady. Z Royal Brayka Beach to trvalo do Karnaku celkem 5.5h (zpět z Luxoru možná o pár minut méně) a to jel Ahmed docela rychle (a hlavně od města Kena uměl dost dobře prokličkovat místním provozem). Normálním autobusem by to z hotelu trvalo určitě déle. A taky si připravte hodně bakšiše, ale např. v Údolí králů se za něj dostanete i do ohrazených míst :)
