Visit the best-known spa resort located 125 km west of Prague.

The city was founded in the middle of the 14th century by King Charles IV and over the centuries it became very popular for its warm mineral springs.

A lot of world-famous artists and rich aristocrats came here for treatment – Russian Tsar Peter the Great, Goethe, Beethoven, Chopin, Paganini.

The most outstanding figure in the history of Karlovy Vary was doctor David Becher who invented the famous Czech liquor Becherovka – originally stomach drops.

The city has been popular also for the production of world-famous Bohemian crystal Moser and local china.

You will walk in the city center passing a Giant spring (Vridlo). You can also choose to visit a Moser Crystal factory, Museum of Becherovka, and to swim in the mineral swimming pool. And if you still have some time you can take a cable car to the Diana lookout tower – the best view of the city.
