All about the trip

Each time of year is a good time to visit Plitvice lakes, each season has its own special treat. This area is a specific geological and hydrogeological karst phenomenon- it has 16 bigger and a few smaller lakes separated by travertine barriers, the basic phenomenon of the National Park.

We will leave our cars outside and step inside this wonderland of nature.

We will pick you up with our air-conditioned vehicle and hit the road to the Plitvice lakes. So all you have to do is relax and enjoy the ride.

Upper Lakes

We will arrive at Plitvice Lakes, a beautiful valley of 16 lakes laced together by waterfalls and miles of pleasant walk paths.

The scenery of the Upper Lakes, which consists of 12 lakes, is wild and spectacular, making it well worth the effort of getting there.

The water is constantly changing its color due to the number of minerals and organisms in the water.

You will feel so deeply connected with nature while walking across the wooden footbridges.

The beauty of the area will simply conquer you by its natural diversity, clean air, waterfalls, caves, and forests.

The walk through this magnificent ambient will lead us to the boat which will take us to the Lower Lakes (Donja jezera).

Lower Lakes

If you really want to see something amazing, something really unique- you need to walk through this place.

Here we continue walking over the wooden walkways along four waterfalls. Enjoy this rare opportunity to experience a forest practically untouched by human activity.

Although the water looks so inviting, swimming is not permitted in any of the lakes.

After all of this beautiful and unrealistic time in nature, we suggest you taste the cuisine, known as one of the healthiest in the world, at the local traditional restaurants.

Instructions

Entrance tickets need to be paid in cash, in Croatian kuna so make sure to prepare the exact amount before departure.

The entrance fee to the national park is not included in the tour ticket. You will be charged an additional entrance fee on the day of departure according to the table below.

Purchasing of the entrance tickets is organized by the travel agency. Please do not purchase tickets for National Park online. We’ll make a reservation in advance and check you in as a group.
