All about the trip

Discover the fantastic scenery of Phang Nga Bay with mangrove forests, limestone mountains and rock islets rising from the sea. Take an exciting ride in a traditional wooden long-tailed boat through caves. Have a swim at the iconic Ko Tapu or James Bond Island.

In the morning we begin with a scenic ride by minibus to the beautiful Phang Nga valley. We learn about history of the area at the Phang Nga Province Exhibition.

Then we set sail from the Phang Nga town to explore the bay. There are 42 limestone islets there and beautiful coral reefs. The landscape is formed by limestone cliffs with caves and we take a boat ride through some of them.

Our next stop is James Bond Island where the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun was shot. There we can have a swim among the dramatic scenery and enjoy the view.

In the middle of the bay there is a stilted Muslim fishing village with houses floating on the sea.

We have a delicious dinner with a gorgeous view of Phang Nga Ba and before returning to our pier we savor the unmatched sight of the sun setting over the limestone mountains.
