All about the trip

Pammukale which means cotton castle is the result of limestone formations built over thousands of years. Warm calcium rich mineral water flowed over the cliffs and as it cooled it deposited the calcium into the formations that are seen today.

This day trip to Pamukkale will give you the chance to experience one of the best attractions in Turkey! You will also enjoy the ancient theatre and the city remains of Hierapolis founded as a healing care center in 190 BC taking advantage of the mineral waters in the area. It was one of the most important intellectual artistic religious and commercial centers of the Roman Empire. It eventually had a large Jewish and Christian community. During the Christian era, the city of Laodicea, one of the Seven Churches written of in Revelation was founded 8 km away. Plus you can visit the tomb of St. Philip is back in the hills behind Hierapolis.

Fethiye is in Mugla region of Turkey and it’s approximately 230 km away from Pamukkale. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to get from Fethiye to Pamukkale. Fethiye is definitely at a good distance to take a day trip and you can definitely leave in the morning and come back to Fethiye overnight. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity.

You will be picked up and dropped off at your hotel in the center of Oludeniz, Hisaronu, Fethiye and Calis. Please let us know the name of your hotel during the booking process.
