All about the trip

Try a stand up paddling on the flat water of the Elbe river and get out to discover the beauty of Bohemian Switzerland. You´ll enjoy 10 km of relaxing paddling, where you can train your balance. If you prefer relaxing on the water, sit down on a board and just steer.

You start in Děčín, where you will be amazed by the passage between the Shepherd's Wall with the Via Ferrata and the Děčín chateau. The Bohemian Switzerland National Park begins right outside the borders of the city. The Elbe current moves you comfortably so you can effortlesly enjoy the beauty of the deep Elbe sandstone rock canyon.

Itinerary

You will start at the Děčín Camp, where you´ll be given a stand up paddleboard, a paddle, a dry bag and a short briefing will take place. You will learn to control the paddleboard on the calm Elbe river. Then it's time to outbound straight away through the majestic Elbe canyon with views of the surrounding sandstone rock walls. The current will enjoyably carry you for 2 hours to Dolní Žleb. Back to Děčín, we recommend using the train connection from the nearby train station, to which the ferry will take you across the river.
