Enjoy the ride through the Czech countryside to Karlstej Castle on electric bikes. E-bikes make covering the 35 km trip to Karlstejn easy and enjoyable.

Our Karlstejn Castle Bike Tour rolls you southwest of Prague along the Vltava and Berounka Rivers and through the Czech countryside to the gothic fortress built by King Karel IV to house the imperial jewels and his collection of holy relics. Karlstejn Castle, with its enchanting, monumental architecture is one of the most-visited castles in the country .

We start the guided bike trip to Karlstejn from the Praha Bike office in the center of Prague. Our cycling time to the castle takes about 3.5-4 hours and has a flat terain. During our trip we will pass through several villages, making observation and refreshments stops. Upon our arrival at Karlstejn Village (population 800) we stop for lunch in a traditional Czech restaurant. Then, we leave our bikes behind to walk (15 min) up to the castle grounds. Your guide will introduce you to the history of the castle as well as the life of Karel IV and will show you around the exterior. Guests have the option of taking a guided tour (55 min) of the castle interior (Adults 270 Kc, Children, Students & Seniors (180 Kc).

We return back to Prague by train. Trains depart from Karlstejn to Prague approx every 30 min with the journey lasting 40 min. Our trip ends at the Praha Bike office around 17:30. For the whole trip you will be accompanied with our friendly and very helpful tour guide.

This tour requires a certain basic fitness level and bicycle riding skills. It is recommended to participants fit to cycle 35 km (22 miles) and keep the pace about 14 km (9 miles) per hour.
The trip is not recommended to pregnant ladies.
Participant minimum weight limitation is 45 kg (100 lbs) and maxiumum weight limitation is 120 kg (260 lbs).
