All about the trip

The bike tour is developed in a circular route (10,5 km) which starts in Furnas village and follows to calderas area by Lagoa das Furnas, continuing on the dirt road that surrounds the lake. The highest point of this tour is located in the area of Pico dos Milhos, where you can admire the parish. The descent is made by secondary paths leading back to the point of beginning. After lunch in a restaurant in Furnas village, time to visit Terra Nostra Park. This is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens of the 18th century, where one can find species of flora from different regions of the world. You will be guided in a brief tour by the garden paths passing by the outdoor pool, that invites for thermal bath. Now, it is time to return to Ponta Delgada by the North coast of the island.

What to take with you?

Please bring proper footwear, swimsuit, towel, hat, sunscreen, backpack, change of clothes to wear after the activity, comfortable clothing, light jacket, extra t-shirt/sweater, water, snack. We recommend bringing MTB gloves, hydration bag with backpack, clip shoes and pedals.
