All about the trip

This activity provides participants the opportunity to discover the western part of the island of São Miguel (volcanic system of Sete Cidades and thermal springs of Ferraria) in an active and complete way. After the transfer from Picos de Aventura, the day begins with a nice mountain bike ride in Sete Cidades, in a landscape dominated by the lake considered to be one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal. The tour (about. 15 km) develops mainly on easy ground, passing near the lake and the village. After the picnic lunch near the lake, we go to Ferraria area, a unique geological formation along the coast. It is time to relax! There is a rock-climbing wall, fully equipped and with routes of varying degrees of difficulty (6b to IV). After all this effort, it's time to relax with a bath in a natural pools of thermal water in the ocean. It's time to return to Ponta Delgada by the green coastal southwest road of São Miguel.

What to take with you?

Please bring proper footwear, comfortable clothing, light jacket, extra t-shirt/sweater, long pants (climbing), water, snack, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and a backpack. We recommend bringing MTB gloves, hydration bag, clip shoes and pedals, cat feet (climbing shoes) and magnesium bag.
