All about the trip

See the sun rising over Bali from the top of its active volcano of Mount Batur. Experience an exhilarating trek to the top of the sacred Hindu mountain and enjoy your breakfast cooked by the steam of the volcano. Coming back from the summit explore a coffee plantation and taste the most expensive coffee in the world.

We pick you up in your hotel very early and drive to the starting point of the trek: the village of Toyabungkah. There we begin our 3-hour journey to the peak.

We reach the summit of Mount Batur shortly after 6 o'clock in the morning just in time to watch the spectacular sunrise.

It's time for breakfast and we can sit back and watch our guide preparing it skillfully using the steam of the volcano in place of a stove.

The entire crater of the volcano is worth exploring and after watching the sunrise we continue trekking around the crater.

Then we descend back to the village of Toyabungkah and take a 1-hour drive to a coffee plantation.

Did you know that the most expensive coffee in the world is made in Bali?

We can watch the traditional way of processing coffee and enjoy tasting the gourmet's dream come true: Kopi luwak or civet coffee.

What to take with you?

Please wear long trousers, warm jacket and hiking shoes. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and insect repellent in a backpack.
