All about the trip

This is an easier route that is recommended for less experienced hikers, 3-4 hour hike for good level of fitness. It’s not as challenging as the Besakih Temple route. Via Pasar Agung route you won’t be able to reach the actual summit. The hike ends about 100 meters below the actual summit, but the views are still excellent in all directions. The trek starts at 1,700 meters above sea level and ends at Mount Agung crater rim, which is 2,866 meters above sea level. From this route then you will start the hike at around 2:00 am.
