All about the trip
The most apparent reason thousands of tourists flock to the town of Mostar, known as a melting pot of cultures, is because of the Old Bridge. But Mostar is much more than a postcard-perfect town; it is a window to the Orient, and we will show you why.
Sign up for a day full of contrasting landscapes and join our small group tour to the neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We’ll start from the delta of the Neretva river and discover the picturesque city of Počitelj, a white-stone sanctuary with roots dating back to the 14th century. Experience another side of the Balkans while walking through the historic village and sip Turkish coffee made by the original recipe.
Mostar
In Mostar, you will see a coexistence of cultures between Muslims, Christians and Jews, and unique Islamic architecture which stands as a symbol of tolerance.
This multicultural and multifaceted city presents the perfect example of the Balkan lifestyle. Take a stroll around the historic core of Mostar with a local guide and have a first-hand experience of the famous medieval town.
Mostar is known as where the “east meets the west”, and its vibrant streets, friendly locals, and traditional cuisine are destined to leave you inspired. The guided tour is followed by two hours of free time where you can continue exploring the spirited culture of the city. Pro tip: Don’t forget to try the local specialties – burek or baklava!
Old Bridge
Stretching 28 meters across the Neretva river and connecting the Croatian and Muslim sides of the city, the iconic Old Bridge attracts tourists from all over the world. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a symbol of tolerance and a reminder of the Bosnian war. If you’re lucky, you might even catch Mostar divers jumping from the bridge into the chilly river below; a tradition since 1968.
Kravice Waterfalls
After you’ve explored the cracks and crevices of Mostar, you’ll continue your journey to the unique landscape of the Kravice falls. Descending into the valley of the Trebizan river, these 25-meter waterfalls shape emerald pools, which make for an outstanding natural attraction. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to swim under the waterfalls and recharge before heading back to Split.
