On the way to the Monastery, admire the Massif of Montserrat, a spectacular multi-peaked rocky range of unique needle-shaped formations. Upon arrival, visit the Monastery, which was founded in the 10th century and still functions to this day, with over 150 monks. It is also famous for being home to the statue of La Moreneta (visit not guaranteed), the patron saint of Catalonia. The visit to the Moreneta is not guaranteed, it is subject to availability and depending on the season, as there may be a queue for up to 2 hours.

Due to horse safety restrictions, anyone with a weight above 95 kilograms or below 12 years of age won't be allowed to join this activity.

Itinerary

8:15	Meet with our guide at Pasatge de la Concepció 7 in Barcelona.
8:30	Start the experience at Paseo de Gracia. Go through Barcelona learning the stories about the buildings and the Eixample neighborhood designed in the 19th century. We will drive you through Diagonal avenue, the largest avenue in Barcelona. See the Royal Palace of Pedralbes and the Campus from the UB, the city's first public university. Leave the city and begin to see all the surrounding cities and towns. We will drive you through the countryside where you can observe the great mountain of Montserrat. Get into the Nature Park of Montserrat and enjoy the great views while you are going up to the mountain.
9:30	We will arrive at the ranch to start with the horse riding experience. You will have a short briefing where you will get a helmet and your horse.
10:00	Start horseback riding. Enjoy the great views of the mountain of Montserrat.
11:00	Finish your ridding and go up to the monastery of Montserrat.
11:30	We will arrive at Montserrat and start the cultural visit to the monastery. Learn about the history of the monastery and visit the Basilica of Santa Maria de Montserrat. Learn about the lifestyle of the monks living here.
12:30	Enjoy the free time. Visit the farmers market and local cafeteria. Check out the souvenir shops.
13:00	Meet your guide again and get back to the bus that will drive you back to Barcelona.
14:30	Your experience will end at the starting point.
