All about the trip

Start from the historical center of Messina and continue along the Ionian coast sprinkled with fishermen villages. Look out for the Lake of Ganzirri and stop at Cape Peloro. Take a moment to observe the natural wonders and landscapes of the Strait of Messina. Move to the center of Messina and visit the Cathedral (Duomo) with its spectacular world-known astronomical clock.

Discover the Arab-Norman style of the Catalani’s church and the sanctuaries of Montalto and Cristo Re with their stunning views. Admire the “ Madonnina del Porto“ statue, the fountain of Neptune created by Montorsoli in 1557, and the baroque church of Gesù e Maria del Buon Viaggio.

There is also the possibility to do a quick stop (only on request) at the Regional Museum of Messina. You can see here two of the most important paintings of Caravaggio and two paintings of Antonello.
