All about the trip

We will start were the Levada ends, and walk through it until we find Madre of Ribeira da Janela. Starting in the middle of an exotic vegetation and going through on one of the lushest dazzling valleys of the island inhabited by endemic and native species. Along the way, we will walk through some very technical tunnels and steep cliffs, letting us admire the genius skills of builders of this Levada in hard to reach cliffs and mountains. Once we get to the inner valley we will take a rest to recharge energy with a snack. Our return path will take us back the same way and allowing us to see a different perspective of this magical place.

This is a walk done entirely in Levada, please make sure you wear appropriate footwear and clothes, we could get easily wet so a rain jacket and dry spare pair of socks would be advisable. Also, a flashlight to cross some of the tunnels - if you don't have one, please let us know.

Also, pack some snack/water. This tour is not wheelchair accessible.
