All about the trip

Hop in a Jeep and tour the island of Madeira from southeast to northwest and back. You will see its stunning landscape from up close and enjoy an exciting ride.

We head from the capital Funchal to Cabo Girão. The top of the second highest sea cliff in the world offers a breathtaking view of the ocean and Madeira's southern coast.

Our tour continues through Campanário to Ribeira Brava. The city got its name from the "angry river" which descends from Madeira's mountains to the Atlantic here providing drinking water to the inhabitants.

Passing the picturesque village of Tabua we reach the largest plateau of Paul da Serra in the Natural Park of Madeira with unique flora and fauna.

Our next stop is Porto Moniz on the northwestern coast. There is a natural complex of lava pools there. We can refresh ourselves and swim in one of them enjoying the view of the ocean.

On the return journey we stop at São Vicente where we can see caves formed by volcanic eruption.
