Explore the route along Levada Do Castelejo leading through the beautiful nature of Madeira's northern coast. Enjoy the views of the amazing scenery and Eagle Rock towering above the sea.

We take an easy hike which is 5.5-km long. The path has been built many years ago to allow the maintenance of the ancient aqueduct of Levada Do Castelejo.

We will see steep slopes covered with rich vegetation and valleys opening gorgeous views to the village of Porto da Cruz and sea below.

There are vineyards, sugar cane fields and well-tended gardens along the way. We can admire the hard work of local farmers and ancient laurel forests with trees several hundred years old.
