The tour begins with a visit of the main attractions, crossing the characteristic narrow streets of the historic center, we will discover the majestic Piazza del Duomo, one of the most beautiful in Italy.

The tour continues discovering the monumental entrance to the city, Porta Napoli, and continues with the fascinating Basilica of Santa Croce, which reveals the artistic development of Lecce Baroque.

The tour ends pedaling to Piazza Sant'Oronzo where among historic palaces and churches we will discover the vestiges of the Roman amphitheater.

	1. Duomo Square
	Crossing the characteristic streets of Lecce’s historical center, we will discover the majestic Duomo Square, one of the most beautiful in Italy.
	2. Duomo
	We will admire the double façade of this cathedral, which passed through centuries, from the Middle Ages to its baroque transformation, and the church’s tower, the tallest in the city.
	3. Obelisk
	This monument, with its low reliefs, represents the history of long-lasting discord, which influenced the local economy and culture.
	4. Naples’ gate
	Monumental entrance of the city dedicated to the magnificent deeds of the Emperor Charles V.
	5. Basilica of the Holy Cross
	The Lecce baroque masterpiece. Its breath-taking sight makes this church the most captivating church in Salento. Its fascinating façade hides secrets, which will transport you in the old city atmosphere.
	6. Sant'oronzo Square
	Scenario of the typical life of people across the centuries, this square hosts a column, originally part of the Appian Way, on which the statue of Saint Oronzo stands out against the clear Apulian sky.
	7. Roman Amphitheatre
	We will stop to cherish the Roman amphitheater discovered in the 19th century and situated in Saint Oronzo Square.
	8. Saint Chiara Church
	One of the most peculiar churches of the city, it is the only one in southern Italy with a ceiling in paper-maché.
