All about the trip

Try and catch a fish by rod or even better, with your bare hands! This exciting day is filled with Ice fishing and winter activities on Nami Island. Join in for a wintry wonderland tour, only found here in Korea. On this tour, you will have a private vehicle, along with a licensed English-speaking tour guide. Our guide will show you around the town like a local, avoiding large tourist traps. To begin, our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Seoul and make the journey to the ice fishing festival. Feel free to amend the schedule, consult your guide at the beginning of the tour.

Once you’re at the Ice Festival, known as Hwacheon Sancheoneo or, Mountain Trout; you will be surrounded by a winter wonderland! Around 12,000 ice holes are cut in the 2-meter-deep ice over the river. The ice is as clear as glass, making the mountain trait below visible. You can try your hand at ice fishing, bobsledding, and sleighing down the hills. If you’re lucky enough to catch a fish, you can grill it at the complex! Eating your “fresh catch” of the day makes for the perfect trip. This is a lovely activity for couples and families with children! After the Ice Festival, Nami Island is next! Filled with stunning nature, there will be the famous Cheongpyeong Ice Flower Festival. This is the perfect place for ice skating, ice flower photo zones, and other winter activities.
