All about the trip

St. Anastasia Island (formerly called Bolshevik Island) is a Bulgarian island in the Black Sea. It is located 1.5 km off the coast near Chernomorets, at 12 meters above sea level, and covers a territory of one hectare. It is the only inhabited island off the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast.

We will have a short paddling course to show you how to get you going in no time. We will then paddle to the Island, enjoying the views, the beauty of the

Bulgarian seashore and Burgas bay. Once there, we will enjoy a short walking tour on the island and our guide will tell you about the history of the place. To make it truly memorable, we will have lunch or a coffee at the small restaurant with sea view. After we are ready to go back, we will paddle back to the starting point.

What to take with you?

We recommend to take spare clothes, a spare pair of sports shoes, towel, light sweater, flip-flops, swimsuit, a hat, and sunglasses.

Itinerary

10:00	– Meeting at the exit to Burgas.
10:30	– Arrival at the starting point - small beach south of Burgas.
10:30	– 11:00 - Instructions and short training course.
11:00	– 12:30 - We will paddle to the Island, enjoying the views, the beauty of the Bulgarian seashore and Burgas bay.
12:30	– 13:00 - Short walking tour on the island.
13:00	- 14:00 - Lunch or coffee at the small restaurant with sea view.
14:00	– Return to the starting point.
