All about the trip

This relaxing one-day kayaking trip will take you downstream, where you can witness the local fishermen traditionally hunting their fish and admire the beauty of Namha National Park.

The tour begins in our headquarters, where we load the equipment and water bottles onto transportation, which could be a minivan or a tuk-tuk, depending on the size of the group. Next, we head southward to visit some remote villages. You start paddling your kayak from the Lantan village. But before getting into the water, your guide briefs you shortly on basics of double kayaking, so you can enjoy paddling along the river safely.

As you follow the curves down the stream, you have a few adrenaline moments with rapid water flows and incredible wilderness and nature. On the right-hand side is Namha National Park. You can see big old trees and many species of birds, including the famous kingfisher.

When it is about noon, you stop by the riverbank to have a typical Lao picnic lunch, chill out and swim.

After that, you continue paddling further along the river, probably catching few more exciting rapids. You stop to visit the Khmu and Tailue villages, which are set along the riverbank. Here, you can interact with fishermen and locals while they do their daily work.

On the way back to the town, we take off-roads for a couple of hours, so you can relax and enjoy the scenery one last time.
