The Wadi El Gemal National Park is regarded as one of the most interesting places in Egypt, simply due to its diverse ecosystem and many archaeological sites. Also located near Wadi El Gamal are the emerald mines of Queen Cleopatra, where some remains have been preserved in the form of temple ruins and mine shafts.
