All about the trip

Covering an area of 1,190 km2 with a basal circumference of 140 km, Etna is the highest active volcano in Europe outside the Caucasus, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage. In this adventure, you hike natural trails on Etna, reaching up to an altitude of 2000 meters. The route includes a visit to extinct craters and the belvedere of the majestic Caldera of Valle del Bove.

Following your route, you also go down into meanders of the volcano visiting a lava cave. Your knowledgeable guide shows you the numerous natural aspects of this amazing volcano.

This excursion involves a trip on board 4x4 Jeep and some comfortable walking that everyone with normal mobility can do, despite physical level. And you still have time to taste delicious local food.

With astonishing views of Etna, beautiful nature, and amazing up-close views of the lava flow, this tour is an experience to remember forever.

Don’t forget to bring your hiking shoes (also available for rent), windbreaker jacket or sweatshirt, water, and camera.
You can rent shoes (3€), windbreaker jacket (2€), and hiking sticks (2€) from us.

Optional transfer from hotels in Catania, Etnean villages, Taormina or other places outside the province are upon request at an extra fee.
