All about the trip
We will take you on a comfortable boat trip on the beautiful Inle Lake, which is known for its leg rowers, floating villages and gardens. Get the insight into everyday life of the Intha, who mostly live in wooden houses built on tall stilts, and learn about their methods of fishing and gardening.
You will visit the village Inpawkhon, where artisans produce one of the most expensive and rarest textiles in the world, silk made from lotus flowers. This tour also includes a visit to cheroot and silversmith factories.
Next stop will be Indein, a huge Pagoda complex which was built in the 17th century. Continuing our journey, we will see the Hpaung Daw U Pagoda, where you will get a chance to admire five Buddha Statues thickly covered with gold.
On the way back from the Phaung Daw U Pagoda, we will stop in Nga Phe Chaung Monastery, a beautiful wooden monastery built around 200 years ago on stilts by the Inle Lake.
