All about the trip

The tour, starting in Ponta Delgada, continues towards the North Coast, rising to Monte Escuro, in the central area of the island. Before Furnas, a mandatory stop at Gorreana tea plantation, the oldest of our island. Before descending to Furnas Valley, we have the opportunity to stop at Pico do Ferro, admire the magnificent view over the valley and the lake. Before lunch, we still have time to see the withdrawal of the famous Cozido das Furnas from the interior of the earth, where it's been cooking for 6 hours. After lunch, visit the parish calderas and a thermal bath in Poça da Dona Beija (entrance not included). Return to Ponta Delgada is made by the South coast, with a stop in Vila Franca do Campo, the first capital of the island of São Miguel.
