All about the trip

The Dragons cave balcony is definitely the most amazing viewpoint in Romania. It lies on the top of the Bedeleului Rocks (part of Trascău massif in Apuseni) with stunning views towards the Aries River Valley (the most important river valley in the Apuseni Mountains) and the northern part of the Apuseni mountain range. Besides the viewpoints, the trail is exceptional. We will pass ancient hamlets, ancient forests, hidden waterfalls, spectacular viewpoints, and enter one of the biggest caves in Trascău mountains.

This is a moderate 7 – 7,5 hour hike with 800 meters elevation.

What to take with you?

We highly recommend to take good hiking boots, raincoat, small backpack, hiking poles, water bottle, some food, and a headlamp.
