All about the trip
Join us for an afternoon boat cruise along the Han river! This cruise is one of the best ways to view Seoul’s river front areas. We will also visit an aquarium and a temple on this whistle-stop tour through Korea's capital.
Our first stop is the COEX Aquarium. This huge aquarium is spread out over a large area and showcases no less than 40,000 sea creatures from some 600 different species of marine life.
The aquarium itself is unique in Korea because it has been designed around the theme of “Water Journey”. Upon entering the museum, visitors will embark on an adventure that follows water on its journey from the high Andean mountains, through the Amazon tropical rainforest to swamps, rivers, seashores, and finally to the depths of the ocean. Visitors will get an in-depth look into some of the world’s most fascinating underwater creatures whilst here. It is a very comprehensive aquarium indeed.
Next on our tour will either be the Jongmyo Royal Shrine or the Bongeunsa Buddhist Temple. The Jongmyo Royal Shrine was the primary place of worship for the kings of the Joseon Dynasty. It was built when the first King of the Joseon Dynasty, Lee Sung-Gye (1335-1408) founded the Joseon Dynasty. The Bongeunsa is a Buddhist temple located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu in Seoul. It was founded in 794 during the reign of King Wonseong by the monk Yeon-hoe
Next is the Han River Cruise. The focus of our day, the cruise itself is one of the best ways to enjoy the scenery around the Hangang River that flows through Seoul. Whilst on the cruise, you can see Hangang River’s beautiful scenery, the surrounding islands, Jeoldusan Park, the 63 Building, Namsan Tower, Jamsil’s Multi Sports Complex, and other famous tourist spots. The cruise boat is often popular for weddings, birthday parties, music performances or for just taking travellers to see some of Seoul's landmarks from the comfort of a relaxed-pace boat trip.
Our afternoon concludes with a quick trip to the Amethyst or Ginseng centre before returning you to your hotel.
