All about the trip
Your professional guide will meet you at the time and location (please let us know via email). Your adventure will begin with a 40-minute ferry ride, during which you can view Stavanger from a different perspective and get an overview of the surrounding fjords, islands, and mountains.
To ensure your trip is as peaceful as possible, your guide will lead you up a trail that is rarely travelled, even by locals. You’ll be lead through ancient pine forests along the Lysefjord’s inner hillsides. During the hike, you’ll come across a wide variety of flora and, if you’re lucky, also catch glimpses of the area’s beautiful wildlife (including owls, ravens, roe deer, and eagles). The hike’s leisurely pace will allow you ample time to enjoy the tranquility of the fjord and its unforgettable landscapes. After approximately 1.5 hours of hiking, your guide will find a beautiful place for you to relax while enjoying a small snack and warm beverage.
After the break, you’ll complete the second leg of the hike, which will take about an hour. Your journey back to Stavanger will begin onboard a ferry, which will follow a different route than the first. During the short ferry ride, you’ll enjoy viewing more of the region’s spectacular landscapes. Most notably, you’ll get to the ‘mouth’ of the Lysefjord, where it sharply branches off from the Høgsfjord. After returning to Stavanger, your guide will lead you on a short sightseeing trip through the city’s old town, Gamle Stavanger, where you’ll walk along narrow cobblestone streets lined with centuries-old wooden houses.
The tour ends in Stavanger at the time and location you chose (please let us also know by email).
